Your Visit

We are excited you are looking to join us for one of our services at Community Baptist Church of Altoona, Pennsylvania. Below are some helpful answers to some common questions you may have. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Where are you located?
We are at 1420 4th Street Altoona, PA 16601. We are right by UPMC Altoona Hospital and the helicopter pad.

Where should I park?
Street parking is available on 4th street across from the church. We are an inner-city church and parking can be a challenge but there is street parking available on 4th street. (Also, we provide transportation to church. If you need a ride call/text 814-312-0777)

What should I wear?
We encourage you to do the best you can with what you have.
The pastor wears a suit to every service, but he is the pastor. There is no dress code to attend our services.

How long are your services?
Times do vary, but a typical service lasts about 1 hour.

What are your services like?
They are all very different and are designed to meet different needs.
We have Sunday School classes that include study of God’s word and fellowship.
Our Sunday morning service is usually three songs and a sermon to help people have hope.
Our Sunday night is a lot of music and a message. Wednesday night we turn our church into a classroom where we look at God’s Book like students, so as to learn how to live.

What do you offer for children?
We have a Sunday School class for every age child at 9:30 am, followed by a children’s church at 10:20 am. We also have our “Kids for Christ” program at 7 pm on Wednesdays.
We have a nursery for babies and toddlers. Adults are also welcome to keep their children with them during any of our services.
